1n 1911 the world's first aerial post was flown between London and Windsor, to commemorate King George V's Coronation. Special postmarks and stationary were produced. The stationary items were printed in various shades of yellow brown, brown, violet, olive green and red and carry a picture of a plane flying over Windsor Castle. These special envelopes and cards could be used for any one of the 16 flights which took place on ten different days between September 10th and 26th.
