Phosphor Band Shifts

The items listed here include phosphor band shifts and band omitted varieties. All unmounted mint items are fine and free of faults. There are many isues where broad band varieties are listed and the position of the broad band can vary e.g left, right, centre, left of centre etc. Some positions are scarcer than others. In order to clarify the position on the items offered the position of the band(s) have been superimposed on many of the images. The band superimposition has been applied by manipulating the computer image and not by interfering with the stamp.

A fine UM single with attractive error due to a phosphor blade flaw. A bold 9mm wide broad "central band" in addition to normally placed side bands. The central band is very bold and as distinct as side bands, consistent with the proposed causal mechanism the edges of the central band are "wavey" A "one off" type of error probably affecting one whole column
